Perodua Delivers First Axia Cars To Driving School

Local automaker Perodua has delivered its first fleet of 11 Axia cars to Arinah Holdings (M) Sdn Bhd as part of the 22 vehicles to be delivered to the Terengganu-based driving school company this year.
Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer Datuk Aminar Rashid Salleh said discussions are also ongoing to change Arinah Holdings’ current fleet to the Perodua Axia next year.
“Perodua has received overwhelming interest from companies such as driving schools to acquire the Perodua Axia Standard E variant for their operational use in addition to demand from private users,” he said in a statement Tuesday.
The Standard E is the entry level variant.
Aminar Rashid said Perodua has received more than 33,000 bookings for the Axia since Aug 15 and delivered nearly 7,000 units since it was launched on Sept 15.
The Axia is Perodua’s 10th model and is the country’s first energy efficient vehicle. The company says it is capable of achieving a fuel consumption of up to 21.6km per litre. - Ttimes
